Welcome to ShopStyle Living! In celebration of our launch, we're giving away five $500 gift cards. Create a look with your dream décor items and you'll be entered to win a gift card from some of our favorite retailers!

You have until March 24, 2008 to put together your dream décor package online and win one of five $500 gift cards from our favorite ShopStyle Living retailers. Just follow these steps:

You must be 18 or over to win. By participating in the contest, you agree to the Official Contest Rules below. There is no purchase necessary. Please see Official Contest Rules for details.

The Contest

Use the ShopStyle Living website and your sense of style to create a look for ShopStyle Living's Dream Décor contest. The contest is a random drawing, but don't let that stop you from being imaginative — show off your interior design skills and describe your look. At the end of the contest period, five winners will be randomly selected to each receive a $500 gift card of their choice from a select list of retailers, including Bloomingdale's, Container Store, Crate & Barrel, Design Public, Design Within Reach, Macy's Home, Pottery Barn, Pottery Barn Kids, Smith & Hawken, and West Elm.

In order to win, you must have a complete profile, a minimum of three items per look, a title and description for your look, and the majority of items in your look must be from the ShopStyle Living website.

Five People Will Win:

Winners will be announced on ShopStyle.com and select sites on the Sugar Network (CasaSugar.com, YumSugar.com, etc.).

Official Contest Rules

To Enter

The "ShopStyle Living's Dream Décor" contest (the "Contest") is sponsored by Sugar Publishing Inc. ("Sponsor") (owner and operator of ShopStyleLiving.com), having an address of 111 Sutter Street, 15th Floor, San Francisco, CA 94104 ("Sponsor"). No purchase or subscription is necessary to enter this Contest. To enter you must complete a profile ShopStyleLiving.com ("Website") with your email and a nickname of your choice ("eligible entry"). In addition to the required identifying information, an eligible entry must include: title and description for the look, a complete look consisting of at least 3 items per look, and a completed user profile. Any late, lost, misdirected, incorrect or incomplete entries will be disqualified and Sponsor (and its agents) will not be responsible for such entries. You may submit multiple looks, but there is a limit of twenty eligible entries per day. A day is defined as 12:00:01 a.m. Pacific Time ("PT") to 11:59:59 p.m., PT. No entries will be accepted before March 11, 2008 or after 11:59:59 p.m. Pacific Time, March 24, 2008.

Eligibility

To participate in the Contest you must be at least 18 years old and a legal resident of the United States. Employees and contractors of the Sponsor, and members of their immediate families are not eligible to enter. To be eligible, you must agree to abide by these rules and be bound by all Sponsor decisions relating to this Contest, which are final and binding in all respects, including but not limited to the determination of winners.

Prizes

Five randomly selected winners will each receive one $500 gift card to their choice of 9 retailers (Bloomingdale's, Container Store, Crate & Barrel, Design Public, Design Within Reach, Macy's Home, Pottery Barn, Pottery Barn Kids, Smith & Hawken, and West Elm). Each winner is responsible for the payment of all taxes associated with the receipt of any prize. No substitution or transfer of prizes permitted, except that if any prize is unavailable, Sponsor has the right to substitute a prize of substantially equal value. Prizes may not be redeemed for cash. Prizes will be awarded by Sponsor and provided by the aforementioned select retailers.

Winner Selection & Notification

Winners will be selected randomly. If you are selected as a Contest winner, you agree and hereby grant permission to the Sponsor to publicize your name, likeness, and the description of work you did to win the Contest. Apart from the prizes associated with being selected as a winner, Sponsor shall not be obligated to compensate you in any way for such publicity, unless prohibited by law. Entrants may request a list of winners by contacting the Sponsor.

Winner Requirements

After the end of the entry period, winners will be notified by e-mail. Winners have 5 business days from notification to claim the prize. The decision of the Sponsor is final. Winners may be required to sign and notarize an Affidavit of Eligibility and Release that will be sent via mail or email, and must be returned to the Sponsor within 10 business days, in order for winners to be officially recognized. Winners may also be required to sign any applicable forms required by tax authorities and prize suppliers. If the winner is unable to accept the prize, or if the winner does not return the signed and/or notarized Affidavit of Eligibility and Release and related tax forms within 10 business days, Sponsor will automatically disqualify the winner. In the event of disqualification of a winner, Sponsor may replace the winner with the next runner-up at the sole discretion of the Sponsor. Prizes will only be awarded to a winner if he/she complies with these rules. Prize may be claimed by return e-mail. All taxes, including income taxes, are the sole responsibility of winners. No prize substitution is permitted. Winner(s) may be required to verify their entry.

Limitations of Liability:

Sponsor is not responsible for technical, hardware or software failures of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections, or failed, incomplete, garbled or delayed computer transmissions, whether caused by the Sponsor, or you or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in association with this contest or by any technical or human error which may occur in the processing of submissions that may limit an entrants ability to participate in this contest. BY ACCEPTING DELIVERY OF THE PRIZE, WINNERS AGREE THAT THE PRIZE IS AWARDED ON THE CONDITION THAT SPONSOR AND ITS AGENTS, REPRESENTATIVES AND EMPLOYEES WILL HAVE NO LIABILITY WHATSOEVER FOR ANY INJURIES, LOSSES, OR DAMAGES OF ANY KIND RESULTING FROM ACCEPTANCE, POSSESSION OR USE OF THE PRIZE. Winners further acknowledge that the foregoing parties have neither made nor are in any manner responsible or liable for any warranty, representation or guarantee (express or implied, in fact or in law) in connection with the prize or the use or enjoyment of the prize. ALL PRIZES ARE AWARDED "AS IS" AND WITHOUT ANY WARRANTY OF ANY SORT, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. IF THE MANUFACTURER OF THE PRIZE OFFERS A WARRANTY IT WILL BE MY RESPONSIBILITY TO SEEK WARRANTY SERVICE DIRECTLY FROM THE MANUFACTURER.

General Conditions:

If any provision of this Official Contest Rules is held to be illegal or unenforceable, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these rules shall otherwise remain in full force and effect and enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law. Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the contest or to be acting in violation of these rules. If Sponsor determines, in its sole discretion, that the on-line portion of the Contest is compromised by virus, bug, robot entries, or other corruption of the administration, security or proper play of the contest, then, at its sole discretion, Sponsor can cancel this Contest. In the event of any non-compliance with any requirement stated herein, a winner's prize may be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner. This contest is governed by and shall be construed under the laws of the State of California, U.S.A., without regard to the conflicts of law provisions therein. The prize will only be sent to a U.S. address, and will be subject to all applicable US taxes and withholding. This contest is void where prohibited or restricted by any relevant federal, state or local law, including but not limited to jurisdictions with laws that would require registration, disclosure, filing, trust account, or posting of a bond, or any other requirements that are not satisfied.
